Learning is a life-long pursuit. And at Westminster, we provide a rich variety of opportunities to learn about God's word and His message for us today. Classes are typically small with an emphasis on personal learning and growth.
Sunday School Classes (9:15 a.m. Sundays)
K-5 - basic Biblical principals with lots of hands-on activities, geared to young minds.
6-8 - more advanced Biblical concepts, tailored to pre-teen and early-teen learners.
9-12 - high school class addressing contemporary religious issues as they relate to today's teens. A spirited group with plenty of discussion time.
Adult Elective Class - an ongoing, small group focusing on a series of approximately 6-12 week studies of a diverse array of topics.
New Beginnings Class - Members rotate leadership. Scripture for the morning sermon is studied-an excellent preparation for worship.
Confirmation Class - a special class, held as youth mature and express an interest in joining the church. Confirmands are paired with adult Mentors as they study Presbyterian doctrine and polity, Biblical basics, and prepare to join the church.
Extended Learning Opportunities (meeting times vary)
Monday Mornings with Ellen - a Bible study group with our Pastor, Ellen Brantley. Meets at the church every Monday at 10:00 a.m. This class studies the scriptures to be used the following Sunday. A casual group; no advance preparation necessary and everyone's welcome.
Vacation Bible School - a special time each summer during which we celebrate and share Christ's message of Love and salvation with children from our church and the neighborhood.
